As a Consultant Practitioner, you will be acting as clinical and professional lead for research and as a Deputy Lead for the Academy. The role is to provide highly specialised advice and education, consultancy, clinical expertise and leadership. You can expect to work alongside patients, colleagues, academic and other external partners, to deliver excellence in research & improvement.

We need you to develop strategy and policy to extend the reach and recognition around community based research so you should be a passionate advocate for a thriving improvement and evaluation culture, supporting workforce development and an inclusive, person centred approach to participation. Working with our teams to support, develop and implement evidence based practice, using innovative and appropriate methods for health and care in the community and to provide education leadership to develop capacity and capability for research across the NHS and our partners in social care, the voluntary sector and the people we care for.

This is a great opportunity to maximise opportunities for research funding, internal and external partnerships and community involvement and you will be actively running your own programmes of research, and support research career pathways across the organisation.
