Principal Consultant

**About The Role**:
We are looking for a Principal Consultant to join our team on a 12 month FTC that can lead on impactful strategy and transformation projects. We are looking for people who can lead with humility, provide meaningful challenges to our work and our clients, act entrepreneurially and set clear direction for our projects, for the strategy and transformation practice and for TPXimpact more widely.

The Transformation Principal will therefore play a lead role both with the client but within the strategy and transformation capability and across the wider consulting and TPX family. The role will act as one of the most senior client facing roles, holding Project Director responsibility for some client work, and being advisory on others to ensure the effectiveness of quality transformation delivery.

You will take a lead with the Director and Partners on defining best practice, developing the TPXimpact approach to transformation, and building a reputation for delivering outcomes for our clients. Bringing together those across TPXimpact that lead on transformation projects to grow organisational understanding of good transformation. The role is therefore to also develop the practice - led through the work - to build a human centred strategy and transformation offer for public, private and third sector organisations.

Strategy and transformation leaders are conveners of capability to solve problems, you will therefore be able to lead on projects that bring together the breadth of TPX capability to support clients' move from strategy, through design and delivery. You will be responsible for helping to create the space for teams to deliver their best work, bringing together talented people to creatively define and solve complex challenges.

This requires an individual who is comfortable with complexity and challenging environments, capable of having difficult conversations, holding space for our teams and helping people and organisations work through complexity with compassion and care. As our portfolio grows we are looking for people with a range of experience leading teams and organisations through change.

This will involve leading a squad within strategy and transformation that includes specialisms in strategy, organisation design, impact and change, developing our capability to bring these skills to a project to achieve maximum impact. The role, alongside our Head of Operations will be accountable for effective resourcing for projects and utilisation of your squad, supported by a people manager.

**About You**:
**As a Transformation Principal in the Strategy and Transformation Team at TPXimpact you will**:

- Work with our clients and teams to set and lead the strategic direction of a portfolio of transformation projects and programmes across our sectors
- Be a recognisable transformation presence across TPXimpact and our sectors
- Lead on developing strong, effective interventions to win highly impactful transformation work through clients engagements and bidding
- Build strong and trusted relationships with clients in order to create the conditions for teams to challenge a brief, think creatively and test out new ways of doing things
- Collaboratively set the standards and maintain quality of transformation projects, and help develop practice across our specialisms to achieve this consistently
- Leadership role in the strategy and transformation team; shaping and nurturing highly creative and effective transformation squad and setting the conditions in which they can deliver brilliant work
- Build highly effective teams across a portfolio to maximise project impact whilst ensuring overall utilisation of the squad to delivery client impact and development objectives for individuals

Approximate time split: ½ day people management (supported by people mgr roles), 1 day bidding & internal TPX practice development, and 3 ½ days billable (delivery, quality and external practice development).
