This company has a long history in developing and manufacturing their own products and is looking to expand due to growth and recent investment. Our Client is recruiting for a SMT Supervisor who will be responsible for ensuring the team provide a timely setup and operation of inhouse SMT line producing electronic products for a variety of major OEM’s.
**The Role**
In this role, your primary focus will be ensuring timely delivery and complete satisfaction in all areas of ownership. This will be realised through training and the development, implementation and driving-forward of achievable improvement targets to processes,team-working, speed of action and resolution of recurring operational issues. To supervise and motivate the team and ensure the team assembles product in accordance with defined build instructions.
**Main Responsibilities**
- Day-to-day hands-on leadership and management of the complete manufacturing functions for SMT area including AOI
- Follow Production Plan and report issues as soon as they arise
- Identification of critical path issues and driving through of key actions to achieve on-time resolution every time
- Introduction of enhanced manufacturing practices and processes wherever qualified improvements can be made
- Ensuring quality principles & standards are applied & adhered to throughout area of responsibility
- To oversee, control and monitor the activities of manufacturing, timely materials delivery to point of use, quality and health/safety to meet customer-driven performance criteria
- Build-in manufacturing flexibility to cope with inaccurate customer forecasts and late changes in product requirements
- To ensure all non conforming product & components are booked into the MRB process in a timely and satisfactory manner
- Implementation of housekeeping standards which ensure that the facility meets world class standards and is always in an “audit ready” state
- Measure efficiency report weekly and Implement improvement actions
- Measure Quality KPI and implement improvement actions
- Adherence to Human Resources procedures including but not limited to the following: Return To Work Interviews, absenteeism, timekeeping, holidays, inductions, probationary reviews
**Skills and experience**
- Experience in Pre-kitting of SMT machines
- Ability to program and operate Stencil Printers
- Proficient in load placement program and set value checks for SMT Lines (Europlacer experience an advantage)
- Ability to create/ adjust component packages checks for SMT Lines
- Carrying out maintenance on SMT line as required
- Operate and Maintain TSM and Heller oven
- Control of solder paste
- Handle Moisture sensitive Components
- Certification to IPC-A-610
