**THE ROLE**

Reporting to the Group Head of Health, Safety and Environment you will develop and deliver the strategic plan for all SGN activities across the UK. You will lead our Occupational Health & Wellbeing team, building on established services whilst developingand driving our Wellbeing strategy, supporting all staff across our Scotland, Southern, Northern Ireland networks, our Commercial activities, and Energy Futures. Working within the SHE team, in support of our strategic vision 'Everyone home safe and well’and to our People Plan. The role will include regulated and non-regulated businesses and requires travel between sites.

We are looking for someone who is passionate about Occupational Health & Wellbeing, confident and capable in articulating and influencing the health agenda, at all levels of the business. A strategic thinker able to tactically deliver health and wellbeingto legal, statutory and company requirements, whilst developing innovative and engaging wellbeing initiatives to positively impact the health and wellbeing of our people.

**Responsibilities that are role specific**:

- Lead the Occupational Health & Wellbeing team to develop into the next phase of delivery, across the full suite of Occupational Health services, following initial establishment of the team two years ago
- Work in collaboration with internal and external stakeholders to ensure safe, effective, high quality, best practice delivery of Occupational Health & Wellbeing services
- Proactively manage and monitor supplier performance and manage third party services to ensure high levels of business and customer satisfaction
- Adaptable, agile, and insightful to business need, acting on and learning from feedback, striving to continuously improve delivery to provide the best customer experience possible
- Ensure the provision and continuous development of relevant, high-quality data, providing analysis, recommendation, and targeted improvements
- Proactively communicate health and wellbeing information across all channels and to all audiences, encouraging active behaviour change and supporting a culture of health

**We want you to**:

- Provide occupational health and wellbeing advice to the business on all health matters
- Escalate and drive health and wellbeing up the company agenda and define policy or process improvements to support local management on health matters
- Deliver the health surveillance programme and other OH services to our staff in all locations
- Lead and manage the Occupational Health & Wellbeing team of practitioners and technicians to professionally develop within best practice guidance and in alignment with professional bodies
- Deliver a Wellbeing programme in line with our four pillars of health (mental, physical, financial, social) as defined within our Wellbeing Strategy - A Helping Hand
- Implement a plan of audit and assurance measures to ensure clinical best practice and inform development plans
- Work towards achievement of SEQOHS accreditation standards (Safe, Effective, Quality Occupational Health Services)
- Work closely with HR and other key stakeholders to ensure Occupational Health delivers to business need, able to collaborate, influence and drive engagement
- Provide support and advice to the Senior Management and Leadership team on all matters relating to health & wellbeing

**WHAT YOU’LL BRING**
- Registered RN, OH Diploma and/or SCPHN - OH
- Experience of managing and developing health surveillance programmes
- Experience in complex case management
- Experience as a strong relationship builder able to collaborate, influence and drive engagement
- Experience in managing and delivering to a defined budget
- Experience in defining, delivering, and communicating a Wellbeing Programme is desirable
- Mental Health experience is desirable
- Use of the Orchid Occupational Health Management System is desirable
