Low Carbon Exchange is looking for an Health & Safety/Compliance Administrator to support the day-to-day functioning of our friendly, specialist team.

This well-established company specialise in the design, installation, maintenance of renewable energy systems and decarbonisation works to include Heat Pumps, Solar PV, Solar Thermal, Loft Insulation, Cavity Wall Insulation, External Wall Insulation, Ventilation, Quantum Heating, EV and many more.

Working with the Manager of Health and Safety and Compliance, H&S Advisors, and other members of the team, this role includes a variety of administrative, office management, internal communication tasks. You will liaise with internal departments act as a key point of contact for general enquiries. You will be an excellent problem solver who can prioritise and complete an administrative workload with mínimal supervision. You enjoy taking ownership of administration to improve processes and have an interest in learning about regulations and legislations. As someone who values people, you have excellent written and verbal communication skills and some experience in all Microsoft packages

You will need to have considerable work experience in a comparable role, however Specialist knowledge of Health, Safety and compliance is not required for this position.

Role & Responsibilities:

- Supporting Management by collecting certificates from staff and subcontractors for their experience and insurances.
- Updating job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading legal publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organisations.
- Help to embed a culture of conformity to Health & Safety across the business.
- Work with construction & renewables personnel to learn and promote HSE best practises e.g. site housekeeping/safe working/lone working
- Ability to effectively prioritise and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment is crucial.
- Successful ability to work to targets.

About you:

- Some experience of working within the renewables or construction industries would be advantageous though not essential.
- Willingness to be involved in training, coaching and mentoring to develop self and others in health, safety and environmental knowledge and expertise.
- Experience or willing to learn to undertake health and safety audits to various ISO standards.
- Comfortable to work with all levels with the company e.g., engineers, installers, office and senior management.
- An organised and confident team player.
- Strong interpersonal and organisational skills.
- Clear thinker and innovator.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Strong process orientation in approach to work.
- Self-motivated and proactive.

**Salary**: £24,000.00-£26,000.00 per year
