Are you strong with positive behaviour management?

We are currently looking for a Behaviour Support Assistant to work in a school in central Bradford. You will be expected to deliver person centred support to individuals who present high levels of complex needs and challenging behaviours associated withlearning disabilities, autistic spectrum conditions and mental health problems. You will be working with children and young people who need 1:1 support for multiple reasons, such as:

- Children in Looked After Care
- Anxiety
- Exclusion
- Social, Emotional, Mental Health Needs
- Some experience working with children and young people who display challenging behaviour
- Experience of de-escalation training would be advantageous
- Confidence to make decisions
- Excellent communication and the ability to build positive relationships with the students
- Empathy and understanding
- Willingness to enhance skills with professional training and development
- A calm approach when working with young people

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
