- **Job Summary**_
- The post holder will deputise for the Deputy Director of Estates and Facilities - Engineering in discharging of roles and responsibilities within the remit of the Deputy Director of Estates and Facilities - Engineering as and when necessary, and as directedby the Deputy Director of Estates and Facilities - Engineering
- The Head of Estates Engineering will be primarily responsible for the leadership and management of the Estates Engineering functions including, but not limited to, the delivery of planned and reactive maintenance and associated engineering services in relationto the buildings and grounds and all the engineering infrastructure, across the whole of the large and complex Trust estate,
- The post holder will be responsible for the management of the Estates Engineering teams.
- In collaboration with other E&F Departments, the Head of Estates Engineering will ensure that agreed objectives in support of the Estate Business and Operational Plan are delivered within the agreed timeframes,
- The Head of Estates Engineering will support the Deputy Director of Estates and Facilities - Engineering, in-conjunction with other Estates senior managers, in the preparation and implementation of the Estate’s Strategic and Operational Plan/s.
- **Duties**_
- _The Estates and Facilities Strategic responsibilities are to develop and implement methodologies and practices to enable the Division to adopt and practice a Quality Assurance Management Regime. _
- _This will be based upon professional and technical excellence, sound protocols for Corporate Management including Risk Management in the delivery of quality healthcare. _
- _The Head of Estates Engineering will therefore be expected to fully participate in the promotion and adoption of these objectives both within his/her division and in support of, and working with, colleagues heading the other divisions of the Directorate. _
- _In collaboration with other Estates and Facilities Departments, the Head of Estates Engineering will ensure that agreed objectives in support of the Trust’s Strategic and Operational Service Plan together with the Estate Business and Operational Planare delivered within the agreed timeframes. _
- _The Head of Estates Engineering will support the Deputy Director of Estates and Facilities - Engineering, in-conjunction with other Divisional Heads, in the preparation of the Estate’s Strategic and Operational Plan/s._
- _Assist the Deputy Director of Estates and Facilities - Engineering, in the development of strategies and standard operational procedures (SOPs) and Service Level Agreements (SLA’s)for delivery of continuous improvements relating to all aspects and functionsof Estates engineering services_
- _Participate and support the Deputy Director of Estates and Facilities - Engineering, in assessing and completing Strategic and Operational Risk Management in the development of maintenance of the Estates assets_
- _Advise the Deputy Director of Estates and Facilities - Engineering, on the potential impact of any Statutory or Mandatory Requirements which affect the Estate and operational aspects of the Directorate_
- _Provide regular executive management reports to the Deputy Director of Estates and Facilities - Engineering, on engineering services progress including the status of Planned and reactive maintenance, Quality, staffing resource, achieved SLA and KPIs,Risk, compliance, and continuous improvements._
- _Work closely with the Head of Estates Maintenance to ensure the co-ordinated delivery of a safe, effective and compliant Estates Maintenance Service._
