Herd is our Farm to Fork Restaurant - based on a beautiful working farm in the Cotswolds - between Shipston on Stour and Morton in Marsh. We have our own farm shop and butchery and produce award winning Beef, Pork and Lamb.
The Restaurant is based is small but fast expanding. Since launching in May we have had a fantastic summer and are going from strength to strength. We are in the process of expanding our indoor seating so we can hold up to 50 inside.
We need to find a long term, reliable, professional and experienced front of house supervisor. This role is critical to the success of the business and we want someone who can represent our brand and hold extremely high standards in customer service. Our food is exceptional. The feedback is incredible. BUT our customer service needs to meet the same standard. **Job Overview**
**Duties**
- Report to Chef and Owner
- Supervise and coordinate the activities of front-of-house staff, ensuring high standards of service and hospitality are maintained.
- Manage team training, and development to foster a collaborative work environment.
- Oversee the dining and serving areas, ensuring cleanliness and organisation while addressing any customer inquiries or concerns promptly.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure efficient food production and timely service delivery.
- Take full responsibility for cleanliness and organisation of restaurant (inside and out)
- Be fully responsible for technology eg Lightening Speed and Open table (booking system)
- Maintain knowledge of menu items to assist with serving and provide recommendations to guests.
- Implement and uphold food safety practices throughout the establishment.
- Support the management team in achieving operational goals and enhancing overall guest satisfaction.
**Skills**
- Proven supervising experience within a restaurant or hospitality setting.
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to manage a diverse team effectively.
- Familiarity with food safety standards and regulations.
- Exceptional customer service skills with a focus on creating memorable dining experiences. Ideally working in top class, high reputation environments.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining composure under pressure.
- Experience with Lightening speed and Open table advantageous but training can be provided.
- Experience as a barista is beneficial but not essential.

**Hours**
We need someone to work about 40 - 45 hours a week. Thursday to Sunday inclusive (Monday - Wednesday off) Hours: Thursday 9 - 5, Friday 9 - 10pm, Saturday 9 - 10pm, Sunday 9 - 6pm. We want someone to take full ownership of the front of house of the restaurant/cafe. If this could work for you please apply.

We offer a competitive level of pay depending upon previous experience
