**New Business Real Estate Underwriter**

**Up to £40,000 + Benefits**

An excellent opportunity has arisen with our client, a leading insurer based in London, which is looking to recruit an New Business Real Estate Underwriter.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Developing and supporting mutually beneficial relationships within a panel of brokers through positive engagement.
- Actively contribute to the growth targets of the team, optimising sales and retention.
- Taking ownership of allocated cases and working proactively with the broker to negotiate the right outcome.
- Maintaining an accurate audit trail using the company's systems, practices and procedures.
- Underwriting within strategy and authority limits, and referring all cases outside of strategy or individual limits.
- Supporting and maintaining agreed service levels to both internal and external customers.
- Maintaining an up to date knowledge of the Commercial Lines market, the regional broking marketplace, and any legislation / litigation which could affect the writing of business.
- Supporting referrals within your team, providing technical assistance and guidance to junior colleagues.

**Key Requirements**
- Proven experience in Underwriting and Trading Mid-Market products.
- Strong trading skills, with proven experience in building and maintaining relationships to support development of broker accounts.
- Good communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Cert CII / Dip CII qualifications, or progress towards them, is preferred but not essential.
