Control Room Operator

1 x Full Time Post

1 x to be added to a Succession plan

You will join a team of Control Operators where your teamwork skills will be paramount in ensuring the efficient and safe deployment of Crime Scene Investigators (CSI) and other RSSS resources by receiving, recording, triaging, and processing information regarding requests for specialist crime scene support.

You will be expected to work a 24 hour, 7-day rotating shift pattern, working two out of three weekends with some midweek days off and occasionally work from various locations across West Yorkshire as reasonably required.

You will be paid monthly which includes additional shift and weekend working allowances, enhancing overall basic pay plus any overtime payments. You will be entitled to a generous annual leave allowance of 25 days which increases with service, and you will be automatically enrolled into a local government pension scheme.

The Sir Alec Jefferies Building has some limited on-site parking facilities and is within walking distance of several popular food and drink establishments with easy access to the M1 motorway and Wakefield city centre. The facilities are state of the art, boasting in-house specialist laboratories and a number of expert scientific service departments providing opportunities for development and progression within RSSS.
