HR Policy and Projects Specialist

We are urgently seeking an experienced and skilled**HR Policy and Projects Specialist**to research, draft and implement HR policy, practice notes, guidance documents and Codes of Practice for one of our local government clients based in London N22.
The **HR Policy and Projects Specialist**will research, benchmark and draft updates to HR policies and codes of practice to ensure processes regarding staff reflect values, strategy, legislative requirements and best practice in the sector.They will collaborate with managers, trades unions and staff network leads to ensure proposed policies and changes to policies are appropriately negotiated or consulted upon.
They will identify HR process and projects for transformation, acting as a change agent to deliver improvements through project activity and deliverables and lead on HR transformation process, projects, initiatives and developments to ensure effective deliveryand implementation of project objectives.
- Minimum of 2 years experience in dealing with employee relations issues within an HR environment, preferably in Local Government
- Previous experience of the development of policy within an HR environment
- The ability to develop a strong network amongst staff networks, trade unions and managers
- Good IT skills including familiarity with MS Office and social media technology.
- Ability to work with complex, sensitive and confidential information in a clear and logical manner.
- Good communication skills with an ability to engage and communicate to staff at all levels.
