This is a new, exciting opportunity in our Events team following recent changes across Quilter last year. Our vacancy would be great for someone who is looking for their first step into the corporate events industry. You will be able to work closely with our highly skilled Events Team and get involved with the day-to-day support of a variety of events within Quilter. This is a fast paced and hugely varied role giving you exposure to many areas of the business and events industry.
This is a 12-month fixed term contract so this is a great amount of time to really sink your teeth into the role and business.

Our Events Assistant will support in the planning and delivery of a range of events both virtual and physical across the Quilter Business. These events will be designed to support Quilter’s strategic priorities and align with marketing campaigns across all Quilter business units.
Event Production and Build
You will support in the delivery of events from proposal to execution, meeting, and exceeding expectations whilst also completing the administrative functions to ensure events are delivered smoothly and efficiently.
You will use online event platforms to build and create the optimal delegate/event experience.
You will be liaising directly with event agencies, venues and any other relevant suppliers as required whilst also maintaining and circulating event project plans with these internal and external contacts.
Delegate management - which includes the event invite process and using campaign event software where relevant. (Stoneshot).
You’ll communicate and maintain project timelines and priorities.
Collate, develop, manage sign off and delivery of content for adviser events as required (e.g., developing ppt materials, arranging print and delivery of collateral).
You will manage the event audit trail, including sign offs, in accordance with record keeping guidelines and financial promotions protocol whilst also adhering to GDPR guidelines.
You will manage inventory of event branded materials (pop ups/stands etc.).
You will collaborate with the venue suppliers to research and propose suitable venues whilst also arranging any associated travel bookings relating to these events.
You will liaise with Pas within the business to co-ordinate diaries and secure internal attendees.
You will be a brilliant team player, working alongside other departments including brand, digital and marketing forging and maintaining good working relationships.
Event Content and Creative Planning
You’ll contribute to creative ideas and event concepts whilst supporting the completion of event briefs (themes, key messages, purpose). You will then draft event-related content and assets e.g., event storyboards, slideware, invitations and continually seek to raise standards and our capability in event the delivery process.
About You
You will be able to handle multiple projects and pick up new tasks in a timely manner whilst having a pro-active approach.
You will need to be a highly organised individual, with brilliant time management skills an able to work to tight deadlines.
You will be happy to work independently and show initiative whilst also having a willingness to learn.
Having strong IT skills are essential to this role, needing to be competent in Word, Excel and PowerPoint (ON24/Zoom/Teams).
Determination to ensure the success of all Quilter events, with a willingness to undertake a wide range of tasks to certify this.
You will have exceptional interpersonal skills and will be able to negotiate and build strong working relationships.
There will be a need for flexibility in this role as working in the events industry is not always 9-5 and you may need to be in attendance of some of the events we will be running.
