Seven Resourcing are looking for an interim Building Surveyor to work in Stockton-on-Tees. This position is initially for a period of 3 months and is paying from £20.00 - £30.00 per hour (PAYE and umbrella payment options are available).

**The role**:
To be responsible to the Principal Building Surveyor for the provision of a Building Surveying Services. This includes the surveying and supervision of individual projects incorporating the co-ordination of clients and colleagues in wider disciplines.

**Key Responsibilities**:
Carry out surveys and prepare reports on the condition of buildings and services in existing properties and submit recommendations and estimates for repairs or improvements. Analyse and comment on inspection reports prepared by others.

To be responsible for the production, management and supervision of individual projects associated with the maintenance and minor works programmes as required by the Service Development and Logistics Manager.

To be responsible for the production, management and supervision of individual external projects as allocated by the Service Development and Logistics Manager.

Undertake interim valuations, assess cost variations and approve final accounts on projects.

Monitor progress on building projects including those delivered by external partners.

Carry out inspection of schemes, as necessary during construction, at practical completion and end of defects liability period making appropriate comments and recommendations to close down projects to a satisfactory conclusion.

To be responsible for the project tender processes of assigned projects, using appropriate Framework Agreements with assistance of the Facility Services Officer.

To prepare and update CAD (Computer Aided Design) drawings to support projects across the Community Services Directorate.

**Applicant Requirements**:

- **Qualifications**:HNC in Construction or Building or equivalent.
- **Experience**:2+ years working within a similar role.
- **Compliance**:Proof of right to work in the UK and references covering the last 3 years.
- **Travel**:Clean UK driving license with the ability to commute to and from work independently.
- **Hours**:37.5 hours p/w.
