**Job Purpose**
As Business Intelligence Team lead you will be a senior figure leading a team of systems analysts, managing and assisting team members to develop their business knowledge and problem solving skills. You will also manage the delivery of management Information and other reporting across the business.
**Your Responsibilities**
- To understand, implement and shape the high level desires and direction of the company.
- To provide knowledge and experience to the company to best solve problems and action upon opportunities in an insurance environment.
- To provide detailed data based analysis of Business processes and scenario.
- To document when required requirements for software development.
- To challenge cultural norms using experience, knowledge and professional influence
- To manage and develop the team of technical analysts, ensuring informed decisions are made and new methodologies are implemented to help achieve the Group’s strategic objectives.
- Help shape and determine a reporting strategy, including understanding of available technologies and software to assist delivery.
- Build excellent working knowledge of Business processes, systems & data structures
- Gather, document and interpret requirements for business opportunities.
- Understand the whole story, the greater consequences and impact towards a long term plan.
- Pro-actively identify business problems
- Provide lead in determining solutions for Business projects
- Ensure that system design proposals produced meet the requirements of the business.
- Build and maintain very positive working relationships with all aspects of the business. Building a relationship whereby you and your team are the first point of call for business problems.
- Ability to make considered decisions in a pressured environment, ensuring understanding and impact of consequences are understood.
- Provide support and advice for completed projects after implementation
- To understand and comply with the FCA’s Senior Management and Certification Regime.
**Your Skills and Experience**
- Previous management experience
- Extensive experience as a Systems Analyst
- Experience in leading or being a senior figure in significant Business projects.
- Strong knowledge of SQL, Power BI, database structures and principles
- Strong Skills in Microsoft Excel
- Creative, thorough, analytical and detailed mind
- Ability to understand a process quickly and its purposes.
- Strong influencing skills.
- Ability to assess and evaluate the latest trends in the insurance and IT industries for recommending solutions for business system opportunities.
- Strong motivational skills to maintain progress of projects
- A fundamental understanding of web & surrounding technologies.
- Ability to motivate self and influence others.
**Other desired Skills**
- Up to date knowledge of software development lifecycle and technologies
- Experience in Financial Services
- Understanding of Regulatory requirements of the FCA / GDPR
**Your Qualifications**
- Degree or equivalent relevant experience in a Computer or Mathematical related discipline
