Childminding Assistant

Alma Montessori Childcare is seeking a warm, friendly and preferably someone with experience with

children under the age of three to join our team as a childminding assistant (full time) to help

children of all abilities, ages and stages thrive. Alma Montessori is a small, registered childminding

setting that provides a safe and nurturing care home from home environment that supports the

children in their education and growth development.

About you;
You have experience caring for children (through work in childcare or as a parent)

You love spending time with children and helping them to learn and thrive

We are looking for someone to fill this full time position, 40 hours a week Monday-Friday, 8-18. We

can offer Part-time but will have to work from minimum 16hrs a week. Negotiations on the parttime role can be discussed during the interview.

About the job;
You will be responsible for
- Planning and setting up activities
- Assisting children with day to day activities including play, eating, playing out in the garden

or taking them on an outing, hygiene, reading stories, etc.
- Ensuring the safety and well-being of the children
- Keeping the setting clean and tidy

Work experience and skills

You do not need a childcare qualification to work with us, all you need is experience with children

and the willingness to learn is essential.

Punctuality and reliability to work as part of a team and following instructions whilst learning are

essential skills to work in a great partnership with one another and to interact and communicate

with the very young children.
