Er Manager

RAC are looking for an experienced **ER Manager** to join our wider HR team, to be based in our Bescot office on a **hybrid working basis**.
As the ER Manager at RAC, you will be leading the ER function within People Operations, providing support and advice across a myriad of HR, employment law and employee relations issues. You will also be responsible for ensuring case management & employee relationsissues are managed with consistency in advice across the business.
You’ll liaise with managers and HR Business Partners to ensure issues are resolved appropriately and in-line with policy, procedure and legislation. The ER Manager will also manage the relationships with our external legal providers, supporting with contractchanges & amendments based on legal changes.
**There will be travel across all three of our sites; Walsall, Bristol, and Manchester**
**What you’ll do...**
- Gather, analyse and interpret data and metrics to develop recommendations and strategies to facilitate positive employee relations and engagement
- Reduce risks by developing programs, policies and procedures to promote fair and equitable employee relations and business decisions
- Evaluate and improve existing HR practices to introduce new perspectives, trends and processes
- Ensure employment policies and practices comply with relevant employment regulations
- Serve as the point of contact on fundamental HR issues and questions
- Conduct investigations of complaints and recommend corrective actions
- Oversee, review and advise on employee grievance and disciplinary processes, including performance management
- Stay current with employee relations trends, regulations and legal requirements
**What you’ll need...**
- High level of knowledge of employment law, policy and practice
- Experience of managing a high-volume workload in a fast-paced environment
- Experience in developing and executing programs that measurably impact positive employee relations
- Union experience is required
- Effective written and oral communication skills displaying confidence, assertiveness and professionalism when engaging with varied colleague groups and levels of managers
- Experience monitoring quality and performance through SLA’s
- CIPD qualification or relevant HR/Law degree is desirable
