Newton Waterproofing Systems are looking for a full-time Warehouse Operative & Delivery Support role to join our close-knit and hard working team based out of a new and growing distribution centre in Hunslet, Leeds

Newton is the oldest and most successful independent supplier in the UK waterproofing industry, supplying a wide range of structural waterproofing, damp proofing and structural repair solutions into commercial, residential and civil projects across the country.

**Overview**

This position will require responsibility and assistance in the day-today running and upkeep of the Newton Waterproofing Systems warehouse based in Leeds, ensuring a first-class customer, delivery and collection service to our northern clients. The role will expect a level of support with providing deliveries to customers, and will report into and work alongside both the Warehouse Manager and Branch Manager.

Communication will be key to the success of the Northern Branch, including establishing good working relationships with staff at both branch and head office level, to make the most of the support available to you.

**Responsibilities**:
**Warehouse**

You will be required to help maintain and manage a clean, safe, secure and efficient warehouse and yard area. Forklift license required in order to move stock, unload deliveries, pick orders and load dispatches. Ensure the warehouse and yard areas are kept secure when they are not being used. Utilise the warehouse and yard space effectively, managing waste and recyclable material.

**Service**

You will be required to develop the first-class service that Newtons pride themselves on in the North of England, managing customer orders to ensure they arrive to their destinations on time using our own delivery service or via external carriers. Develop a quick and efficient collection service through the trade counter so customers are not kept waiting. The picking and checking of orders and help manage delivery runs, thinking outside the box and going that extra mile to service our customers in a timely manner.

**Deliveries**

You will be required at times to make deliveries and collections in our company vehicles in an efficient and timely manner abiding to all rules and regulations of the road. A personable approach and an understanding to customer needs will also be required.

**Vehicles**

Responsible for the daily checking and upkeep of all branch based vehicles - vans & forklift.

**Logistics**

Working with external pallet and parcel freight companies ensuring orders are collected and dispatched on time, requesting ETA’s (expected time of arrival) and customer POD requests.

**Experience required.**
- Experience of working in the construction industry is desirable but not essential
- Previous warehouse experience
- Drivers Licence
- Over 25 years of age
- Competent to drive long wheel-based vans.
- Forklift Operations
- Customer Service experience
- IT literate

**Salary**

TBC based on experience.

**Salary**: £20,000.00-£22,000.00 per year
