**Role Overview**:
We are looking for an ambitious and adaptable **Marketing and Communications Coordinator** to become the driving force behind our group’s marketing, communications and social media campaigns. This is a rare opportunity to be the **first dedicated marketing professional** in a fast-paced, rapidly expanding group of companies that is continually acquiring new businesses. As part of a close-knit and fast-moving team, you’ll also be ready to lend your skills to other departments when needed, contributing to the wider success of the group.

You’ll be hands-on from day one, learning the ins and outs of our diverse operations and shaping how we present ourselves to the market. From creating impactful digital campaigns to producing engaging print materials, you’ll play a pivotal role in building brand presence and supporting the growth of STS and our associated companies, with the clear potential to grow into a more senior position as the department develops.

**Key Responsibilities**:
**Marketing Responsibilities**:

- **Website Management**: Oversee the design, development, and maintenance of the company website, ensuring it reflects our services, projects, and company news.
- **Content Creation**: Develop engaging content for various platforms, including blog posts, newsletters, social media updates, and promotional materials.
- **Print Materials**: Design and produce marketing materials such as brochures, flyers, and banners, collaborating with external vendors as needed.
- **Brand Management**: Ensure consistent branding across all marketing materials and platforms.
- **Event Coordination**: Assist in organising company events and relevant show participation.
- **Analytics & Reporting**: Monitor and report on the performance of marketing campaigns, providing insights and recommendations for improvement.
- **Vendor Collaboration**: Work closely with external agencies and providers to execute marketing initiatives effectively.

**Communications Responsibilities**:

- **Internal Communications**: Develop and implement internal communication strategies to keep employees informed about company updates, initiatives, and key projects. Create and distribute internal newsletters and bulletins.
- **Brand Messaging & Storytelling**: Ensure all communication materials align with the company’s brand voice and messaging. Develop compelling stories, case studies, and press content to highlight our projects and accomplishments.
- **Stakeholder Communication**: Act as the point of contact for internal and external stakeholders regarding communication needs, ensuring clear and consistent messaging that supports business objectives.
- **Social Media & Community Engagement**: Develop and manage social media communication strategies, comments, and messages on social media in a professional and timely manner.
- **Event Communication**: Lead communication strategies for company events, trade shows, and other public-facing activities, ensuring all messaging aligns with the company’s goals.

**Requirements**:

- Strong attention to detail with a keen eye for design and content quality.
- Proven experience in marketing and communications, preferably within Highways or Construction sectors but not essential.
- Strong skills in digital marketing tools, knowledge of website management (e.g., WordPress), and design software (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite).
- Experience working with external vendors and agencies.
- Solid understanding of digital marketing techniques and communications strategies.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to craft compelling messages for various audiences.
