Analyst - Fixed Income Settlements

The resourcing team at Davies are working with a Global Institutional Brokerage and Investment Banking firm. The company are seeking a driven and highly motivated individual with some experience in a settlements role and a strong interest in Fixed IncomeTrade Services, settlements and trade support who are seeking to enhance their career.
Duties and Responsibilities will include:
- Process and reconcile daily settlements of Fixed Income trades (including trade matching and fail resolution)
- Manage the trade life cycle from trade date to settlement date.
- Monitor and resolve any settlement failures or issues across core systems
- Communicate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure smooth and timely settlements.
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce risk.
- Utilising Euroclear, Clearstream, SWIFT, Euclid
- Calculating coupon and interest rate claims
- Liaising with the Front Office Traders, Counterparties, Agents and Clients
- Identify and escalate settlement issues to management
- Execute appropriate controls on settlements to mitigate regulatory and operational risks
- Carry out daily execution of reconciliations in a timely manner
- Manage accounting transactions
- Handle monthly, quarterly and annual closings
- Ensure timely bank payments
- A degree in Finance, Economics, or related field
- Ideally 2 years plus experience in Fixed Income Settlements
- Knowledge of Equities FX swaps, Repo’s, stock lending, ETF’s would be useful
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
- Ability to work well under pressure and meet tight deadlines
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and settlement systems
