Milestone Infrastructure is currently looking to recruit a Street Lighting Operations Supervisor to work on our Peterborough** **Highways Services contract in Peterborough.

As the SL Operations Supervisor you will be part of our Street Lighting team who are responsible for the maintenance and servicing of Highway Electrical furniture**.**

Peterborough Highway Services is a partnership between Peterborough City Council and Milestone Infrastructure.**
The contract covers the improvement and maintenance of Peterborough’s highway network and maintains 550 miles of carriageway, 718 miles of footways, 366 structures and 32000 street lights

**As the Street Lighting Operations Supervisor your duties & responsibilities will be**:

- Prepare and issue job packs to operatives in accordance with the programmed works.
- Undertake briefings and toolbox talks where appropriate
- Carry out the day to day briefing and supervision of operatives and sub-contractors, ensuring workflow is issued efficiently.
- Use appropriate technology (PDA) to issue and control works.
- Provide information in order to update the Data Sets on the Asset Management System as and when the lighting point is installed or replaced.
- Accurately record all works carried out by operatives on a daily/weekly basis.
- Undertake HEA QS role for the business sector and ensure HEA portfolios are completed and updated.
- Liaise with clients and customers at site level. and provide resilience when SL manager is not available.
- Attend and participate in internal management meetings and contract development work.
- Keep abreast of company policies and procedures and ensure they are applied fairly and consistently.
- Ensure operatives and sub-contractors carry out the works in a safe, effective manner, and report incidents or any near misses as required.
- All time sheets to be completed and approved by Friday each week.
- Monitor daily record sheets completed by site operatives.
- Monitor all H&S files/folders ensuring that all inspections are up to date.

**Skills & Knowledge Requirements**
- Extensive experience in managing street lighting operations
- Good understanding of lighting design
- CDM knowledge and experience
- Ability to plan and manage the works in accordance to programme requirements
- Electrical Background
- Ability to produce accurate work
- Reasonable IT Skills
- Experience of working with both client and workforce
- Good understanding of project and commercial requirements
- Complete understanding of Company Health & Safety requirements
