**Overview**:
You will have the opportunity to gain valuable skills and experience as you complete an Data Analyst - Level 4 Apprenticeship.

The successful Data Analyst apprentice provides works as part of a small team to provide strategic, analytical, and technical support for data science/ intelligence activities.
The analyst leverages data to gain key insight into business opportunities and helps to effectively present these insights to business stakeholders as actionable insights.

The position will involve exposure to Power Bi, Salesforce, SQL, Python Automation tools such as RPA and SSIS, ML techniques, Linux and other software/languages.

**Salary:**

£16,000 per annum.

**Duties / Responsibilities**:

- Understands the decision-making process, workflows, and information needs of the business
- Help translates business needs into data insight requirements to support decisions and workflows required
- Working within the Data Team, dealing with internal and external stakeholders
- Exploratory data analysis of structured data to determine solution suitability
- Generate actionable insights from information by surfacing signals from internal and external data and tech
- Analyse data across the business to provide actionable insights
- Help to capture, analyse and maintain data for use in analysis and reporting
- Help performs ongoing monitoring and refinement of tools used for insight outcomes
- Identifies and analyses errors and inconsistencies in the data and provides timely resolutions
- Create presentations and reports to communicate analysing findings to the wider business

**Desired skills / Personal qualities**:

- Soft skills in team work, strong communication skills and are a strategic, intellectually curious thinker with focus on outcomes
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel/Reporting in Excel is desired
- Comfortable working in an end to end data environment from data warehousing to data visualisation
- Ability to perform functional requirements analysis and business domain analysis
- Knowledge of SQL and MS SQL Server Or willingness to learn SQL an advantage
- Python experience / knowledge desirable
- Strong mathematical skills

**Entry requirements**:
**Standard entry**:

- Level 3 qualification (apprenticeship/A-levels/BTEC, etc)
- OR equivalent work experience (typically two years in a relevant role)

**Plus**:

- 5 GCSE's, including English and Maths at Grade 4 (C) or above
- Experience with using Excel and Microsoft products (or similar)

You may also have a combination of qualifications and experience which demonstrate the minimum foundation needed for the programme. In this instance you could still be considered for the programme.

**Working week:
**Monday - Thursday, 8:30am - 5:30pm, with a 1-hour lunch.
Friday will be from 9am - 4pm.
40hrs a week.

**Future prospects**:
We will expect you to ‘sign up’ to no less than 24 months in the role, with an consideration for a suitable promotion based on successfully passing the apprenticeship and demonstrating adequate progression internally.

QA’s apprenticeships are funded by the Education & Skills Funding Agency (ESFA), an executive agency of the Department for Education.
To be eligible for a Government funded apprenticeship you must have lived in the UK or European Economic Area (EEA) for the last 3 consecutive years.
