**Due to continued expansion, we’re recruiting for an experienced Warehouse Supervisor who can join our well-established Chesterfield based client.**
- To work with the management team to ensure that the warehouse operatives are working efficiently and safely, following all required processes to carry out daily duties. To ensure exceptional service delivery to customers both internally and externally. To provide support to the team while ensuring that the team delivers to communicated targets.

**Duties and Responsibilities**:

- Oversee the receipt and checking of incoming stock in line with company goods in process. Monitor accuracy and organisation during the unloading / inspection of all inbound goods / returned products.
- Manage the picking of customer orders as per the company processes. Supervise the process for accuracy and to ensure customers’ orders are fulfilled accurately and timely.
- Ensure stock is rotated in line with FIFO standards.
- Manage and carry out stock checks as required by the business.
- Provide a professional, courteous, and efficient service to all customers both internally and externally.
- Ensure daily safety checks are conducted thoroughly on all equipment.
- Train new warehouse operatives within area of responsibility.
- Ensure the upkeep and cleanliness of the warehouse.
- Identify any system or process improvements and make recommendations for change.
- Where possible resolve any issues or problems which occur in the warehouse. Where appropriate elevate the issue to a more senior level.
- Ensure that health and safety meet the required standards and carry our risk assessments.
- Ensure that all equipment required is ordered in a timely many so that supply is consistent, and we do not run out of equipment vital for the smooth running of the warehouse.
- Adhere to all stock management systems and procedures.
- Ensure that customer orders are correctly labelled to minimise errors.
- Ensure that carriers are loaded in a timely manner.

**Skills and Attributes**:

- Experience in leading and supervising a team in a warehouse environment.
- Supervisory and Team Leader skills with the ability to motivate, develop and supervise others.
- Qualified and competent to operate a counterbalance and reach forklift truck.
- Possess a good standard of numeracy and literacy with basic IT skills.
- Good communication skills.
- Good understanding of the impact of failure and the cost of poor quality.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- A team player with a positive attitude towards work and staff.
- An ability to delegate and explain tasks to others.
- Ability to work in a sometimes-pressurised environment while maintaining a positive outlook.
- Ability to prioritise and react to urgent situations.

**Working hours: Monday to Thursday 9am to 5pm - Friday 9am to 4pm.**

**Salary: Competitive.**
