**Job Summary**
We are seeking a well organised Accounts Clerk to join our small but growing business in Newcastle upon Tyne. The key requirements, but not limited to are.

**Requirements**:

- Maintain and update financial records using Quickbooks accounting software (should be proficient in this or comparable cloud based software).
- Handling daily banking activity: manage customer receipts and supplier/expense bank payments.
- Liaise with customers and suppliers to resolve any account queries.
- Reconcile accounts and ensure accuracy of financial records.
- Comfortable working in small team with the ability to work on own initiative at times.
- Maintain and update financial records using Quickbooks accounting software.
- Reconcile invoices and statements to ensure accuracy and resolve discrepancies.
- Good organisational & communication skills, both written & verbal to liaise effectively with customers, suppliers and colleagues alike.
- Maintain confidentiality of financial information and adhere to company policies regarding data protection.

**Experience**:

- Previous proven bookkeeping experience essential, both sales and purchase ledgers as well as banking.
- PC literate with working knowledge of Microsoft packages such as Outlook, Excel & Word.
- Proven experience in accounts payable or a similar accounting role is preferred.
- Proficiency in Quickbooks accounting software, or similar such as Xero or Sage.
- Strong attention to detail with excellent organisational skills.

**Job Type**: Part-time

Pay: £23,500.00-£25,300.00 per year
