**Overview**

Haitian Creole, also known as _Kreyòl Ayisyen_, is the national language of Haiti. It originated from a blend of French and West African languages and is now widely used across Haitian communities in the **Caribbean, North America, and Europe**. In the UK, Haitian Creole is spoken within Haitian and Caribbean communities, particularly in **London, Birmingham, and Manchester**.**Pay Rate**: £20-£35 per hour (translation rates negotiable)

This is a **part-time, on-demand position** offering flexibility and competitive pay.

Assignments may take place **remotely** (by video or telephone) or **in person** at client locations across the UK. You can accept jobs that fit your schedule — work is offered as bookings arise.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Provide interpretation services in person, over the phone, or via video conferencing.
- Translate spoken dialogue accurately and convey messages clearly between parties.
- Maintain confidentiality and professionalism when handling sensitive information.
- Bridge cultural and linguistic differences to ensure effective communication.
- Collaborate with clients and colleagues to meet interpretation needs.

**Requirements**:

- Fluency in Creole-Haitian **and English** (both spoken and written).
- Strong communication and listening skills.
- Professional attitude, reliability, and punctuality.
- Previous interpreting experience is an advantage but **not required** — training will be provided.
- Must be **based in the UK**.
