**What you’ll be doing**
This role is to support the Environmental Incident Team’s objective to minimise the impact of Thames Water’s operations on the environment. Your area of expertise will be within serious pollution investigations, and providing technical support related to this.
- This role will involve:_
- Investigation of significant pollution incidents. Interpretation of analytical results and operational data to understand environmental impact- Support to the legal department with provision of reports and statements, mitigation, and defence evidence, through interrogation of company systems and records- Support the implementation of the event learning procedure and support the team in its delivery- Represent the Company in meetings with stakeholders to build awareness externally, regulate their activities or maintain the reputation of the Thames Water brand- Field activities such investigation of serious pollution incidents on site and gathering evidence to inform future reporting and enforcement activities.**What you should bring to the role**
- Degree-qualified in relevant scientific field or considerable relevant industry experience.- High personal drive and motivation- Strong personal resilience- Strong organisational skills and multi-tasking capabilities**What’s in it for you?**

This is an exciting opportunity for an individual to contribute towards improving Thames Water’s pollution performance, which will involve raising awareness of environmental impacts and supporting the company's wider environmental reputation, whilst generating strong relationships with key stakeholders and regulators. The role also will involve working with the legal team to produce environmental impact statements in relation to historical pollution incidents. This high-profile role offers variety and exposure to senior management & into different teams.
