**A&P NORTH EAST - Fitter, Marine**

If you're passionate about the sea and have a knack for precision engineering this could be for you.

A&P North East includes the largest commercial dry-dock on the East coast of England where our Fitters complete mechanical overhaul, repair, renew or modification of vessel equipment & systems.

**So what will you do?**
- You'll perform maintenance and repairs on various vessels through inspecting, diagnosing and then repairing mechanical and structural issues
- Work will include thrusters and blades, rudders, propellers, tail shafts, pumps, compressors, bow / stern doors, ramps and winches
- You will transport items through the vessel as required by fleeting using lifting equipment
- Assisting in the overhaul, repair, renew or modification of the vessel's main engines, generators compressors and other engineering equipment will be part of the role too

**And what are we looking for?**
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to read technical drawings
- Slinging, Fork lift Driving and Mobile Elevating Work Platform experience
- Manual Handling capability
