Floor Layer Multi

**The Role**
Due to continued growth, we are currently looking for a Floor Layer Multi to join our Voids team based in Birmingham.

The Floor Layer Multi will be responsible for laying various types of flooring in social housing properties including cap and cove for wet rooms. You will be covering the south Birmingham area.

This is a permanent role and the core working hours are Monday to Friday 8am-4:30pm.
**The Customer**
You will be part of one of Fortem’s largest Social Housing contracts, Birmingham City Council. This is an expanding £50m Repairs & Maintenance, Capital Works and Retrofit contract and the largest social housing contract in Europe. We are responsible for over 22,500 properties in the Birmingham area including low, medium and a significant number of high-rise blocks. This is a fast paced, focused and dedicated contract which we have been re-awarded 3 times and we are very proud to be able to support this exceptional client.
**Duties and Responsibilities**
The Floor Layer Multi responsibilities will include:

- Carry out flooring maintenance and installation tasks to a high standard with mínimal supervision.
- Lay vinyl flooring accurately and efficiently across various property types.
- Take full ownership of each job, aiming for a first-time fix wherever possible.
- Work within agreed timeframes and budget constraints while maintaining quality.
- Follow all company Health and Safety procedures and guidelines at all times.
- Stay up to date with technical standards and legal requirements relevant to flooring work.
- Maintain a professional and respectful approach when working in tenants’ homes.

**What You Will Need**
Essential criteria
- Floor laying experience
- Basic tiling and carpentry experience

Desirable criteria
- Social housing experience
- Experience working in void properties
