The Lanes Group have a position available for a Labourer to work as part of a team on our London Underground contract.

**The job**:
You will be required to make the necessary preparations for relevant materials and tools needed from the stores department for the works been carried, assist on site under instruction from PWT or SPC.

Assisting with putting unused materials and tools back into stores at the end of shift.

**Responsibilities - but not limited to**:

- Performing setup and clean-up tasks on site
- Operating heavy machinery, such as excavators and dumper trucks
- Digging pits, trenches and foundations
- Putting up panels to hold concrete in place
- Laying kerbs and paving and resurfacing roads
- Climbing to heights and conducting work while properly using safety restraints
- Providing general maintenance of construction equipment

**Knowledge, experience, and qualifications required**:

- Thorough attention to detail
- Basic knowledge of maths
- The ability to remain calm under pressure
- General knowledge of building and construction practices
- The ability to handle constructive criticism
- The ability to work in extreme weather conditions
- The ability to carry out basic tasks on a computer or hand-held device
