**IT Security Architect - £900 PD - 12 months - Hybrid**
**Company overview**:
A leading financial services corporation is seeking an IT Security Architect who has strong design, documentation and implementation experience to support an on premise to cloud migration programme. The chosen IT Security Architect must have experience definingoperational readiness, implementing enterprise class security systems within the cloud and be able to manage ethical hacking 3rd party vendors preferably within the financial domain.
This contract is paying between £850 to £900 PD to be based in Chatham up to 3 days per week for a minimum of 12 months.
**Core responsibilities**:

- Deliver a Security Architecture (design, documentation and implementation) to support the IT Simplification programme
- Define and manage Security workstream tasks and deliverables against established timeframes to implement security designs for IT Simplification and integrate security solutions within the Group Security services framework
- Define and complete Operational Readiness checks and secure approvals through GCISO sign-off
- Provide regular programme status updates (to PMO) for security workstreams
- Documented security risks with ownership, remediation actions and timelines
- Manage security work-streams for IT Simplification programme through guidance on implementing security by design
- Design and implement enterprise class security systems and services to support IT Simplification programme while ensuring operational resilience and alignment to recognised frameworks and regulatory requirements
- Define cloud security architectures and internal systems designs with appropriate controls and monitoring capabilities through centrally managed monitoring and response services
- Create Information Security Reporting and Metrics for new platforms and capabilities
- Develop project plans with estimated effort, delivery schedule and cost estimates for new initiatives and existing system upgrades
- Manage Ethical Hacking engagements through specialist third parties to define scope, manage daily debriefings, deliverables and defined corrective action plans to achieve operational readiness acceptance for new solutions
- Act as a single point of contact for all escalations and project related issues

**Core technical responsibilities**:

- Technical security background within financial services is essential
- Reviewing and approving technical designs, solutions and change is essential
- Assessing, auditing and assuring security controls and processes is essential - PCIDSS, GDPR, third-party due-diligence
- Implementing security standards and governance frameworks is essential
- Awareness of cloud based solutions, preferably Azure or AWS
- Basic knowledge of UK GDPR is essential
- Detailed knowledge of ISO27001 is essential
- Detailed knowledge of Network Security is essential
- Detailed knowledge of Application Security is essential
