The Hotel is under new ownership, with new management. We're excited to announce we will be building a new all year, permanent marquee in our grounds holding up to 400 people. We are looking for someone to with a passion for wedding and events and wants to own this department and take it to the next level.

The Manor Hotel is a beautiful 4* 2AA Rosette hotel located in stunning grounds. The hotel has close links to both the M1 and M25.

We host a number of Exclusive weddings, private social events and many meetings. We are looking to drive our business throughout 2021/2022 to be the best venue in Hertfordshire. We are looking for a Weddings and Events Specialist to join us on that journey

We offer 28 days holiday (pro-rata) including 8 Bank holidays, alongside free meals whilst on duty, pension and other benefits

Hours

40 hours over 5 days inclusive of 2 weekend days per month

The Senior Weddings and Events Specialist role is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is driven, sales focused with a natural soft sales approach who can develop trust and confidence with both existing and new Bride and Grooms; someone who has a real passion for the wedding and events industry

**Essentials**

Must have experience in a similar role, preferably within the hotel industry

Familiar with hotel reservation systems (Reslynx, Delphi, Opera)

Good telephone manner and first point of contact

Strong computer skills in Microsoft packages

Have excellent customer service skills

Always maintain a professional appearance

Be confident to meet, propose, convert and execute an event

As Wedding and Events Manager you will have good knowledge of the menu and drinks on offer as well as full knowledge of the wedding packages available

**Tasks**

Respond to enquiries in a professional manner in line with office standards

Manage pre event administrative tasks of inputting rooming lists, place cards, collecting final details, preparing client files, arranging contracts and pro formas, manage the working diary and collecting payments

Co-ordinate suppliers

Prepare showrounds and information inclusive of brochures, proposals and show rooms

Execute showrounds and follow up with the client/agent converting enquiries inline with KPI’s

Arrange menu tastings and manage open sales evenings once a week for potential Bride and Grooms

Arrange and attend wedding showcase/ Wedding fayres both internal and external

Prepare function sheets weekly and handover all details and running order of the weddings and events to the operations team

To grow and develop existing client’s relationships through regular contact, meeting and greeting and following up post event

Upsell targeting in line with KPI’s

To be aware of current promotions and events to cross sell to new and existing clients to gain full revenue growth

Have constant knowledge of local competitors and new developments, market trends and customer performance

Have a thorough understanding of the M&E budget, ability to prepare and deliver accurate and relevant information

Maintain an effective relationship with the Group sales and marketing teams to produce regular promotional campaigns and maintaining an update on webpages and social media with offers, special days for weddings, private and social events.
