Care Assistant

Full Time - Flexible Hours

Search Healthcare is delighted to be working with one of the largest healthcare providers in the UK to recruit permanent Care Assistants to work within their care homes in Durham. Joining their flexible workforce team, we have permanent contracted hoursof 33 hours per week offering flexible hours to suit your lifestyle.

About the Role:
As a healthcare assistant you will work as part of a team responsible for providing the kindest care to residents ensuring they retain their dignity and individuality.

The roles will involve:

- Assisting residents in all aspects of their care needs (e.g. physical, emotional)
- Supporting residents who have limited mobility, or physical/learning difficulties, making the best use of aids provided, to ensure that they safely achieve their personal goals.
- Assisting in the delivery of palliative care as and when
- Maintaining confidentiality and record keeping
- Make and change beds and ensure that rooms are clean and tidy, and any bedroom equipment is kept clean to ensure a homely environment for the Resident.

Minimum Requirements
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills
- The ability to work as part of a team
- Knowledge and understanding of person centred care planning process
- Knowledge and understanding or be compassionate, caring and have the desire to support the elderly within our homes
- Be able to meet the compliance requirement through our vetting process which will include a criminal record check
