We are currently seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Factory and Warehouse Assistant to join our team, ensuring the smooth operation of our production and distribution facility.

The Factory and Warehouse Assistant is responsible for providing support within the factory and warehouse, ensuring the efficient and safe receipt and handling of goods throughout the production and distribution process. This role requires a strong attention to detail, a commitment to teamwork, and the ability to adapt to a fast-paced and dynamic work environment.

**Responsibilities**:

- Assist with receiving, inspecting, and storing incoming shipments, ensuring accurate documentation and proper handling of goods
- Operate and maintain warehouse equipment, such as forklifts and pallet jacks, in a safe and efficient manner, adhering to all safety guidelines and protocols
- Perform basic assembly tasks, as needed, to support the production team
- Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the warehouse and factory floor, ensuring a safe and efficient workspace
- Conduct regular inventory checks, identifying and reporting discrepancies, and assisting with stock adjustments and counts
- Collaborate with team members across departments to ensure smooth operations and effective communication
- Comply with all company policies, safety regulations, and industry best practices

**Requirements**:

- Willingness to learn and work hard i.e. a good attitude
- Previous experience in a factory, warehouse, or manufacturing environment is useful
- Forklift certification or willingness to obtain certification
- Basic knowledge of warehouse and factory operations, including safety protocols and equipment handling
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to accurately follow instructions
- Ability to work well in a team-oriented environment and maintain a positive attitude under pressure
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Physical ability to lift and move heavy objects, stand for extended periods, and perform repetitive tasks
- Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and overtime as needed

**Job Types**: Full-time, Fixed term contract
Contract length: 12 months

**Salary**: £18,000.00-£20,000.00 per year

Schedule:

- Monday to Friday

Supplemental pay types:

- Bonus scheme
- Performance bonus
- Yearly bonus

- Hemel Hempstead: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
