**ob description** Founded in 2021, The Home and Gift Store is a small business run from our home studio that designs and creates personalised gifts and greeting cards. We produce all our products in-house using crafting, laser engraving and digital printing machinery, addingunique customisation to each order. We supply gifts and decorations for all occasions via online marketplaces such as Etsy and on our own website.

We are looking to hire team members to help with production in the run up to Christmas, assisting with the making of products and packaging orders.

The Engraving and Packing Operator will assist with stockroom and fulfilment administration - picking and packing product for despatch to customers, operating crafting, sublimation, laser engraving equipment, gift wrapping,

The business hours are 7 days per week. through normal shift pattern but the applicant is expected to be highly flexible with regards to working hours, particularly around peak times. It is likely that this role will include weekend shifts during peak periods,however this is not essential and happy to flex hours.

Key responsibilities
- Mastering all areas of personalisation including artwork, sublimation and engraving.
- Helping to gift wrap products and package bespoke boxes.
- Demonstrating creative flair and attentiveness.
- Being hands-on and getting stuck in, ready to demonstrate a range of practical skills from unpacking boxes to assisting with deliveries.
- Impeccable eye for detail, focussed on perfecting tasks and bringing any potential errors within production
- Helping across logistics and shipping, booking in, managing and tracking parcels.
- Helping the team fulfil all gifting requirements, including keeping the workspace organised, neat and tidy in order for all day to day tasks to run smoothly.
- This is a task-focused role that requires strong practical skills with an emphasis on efficiency and time management. The role demands a knack for remaining cool-headed under pressure, as well as being conscientious and detail oriented.
- We require a high level finish and flawless attention to presentation as we maintain a very high level of standards for our customers and output.
- Preparing stock and creating products: Cleaning products, gluing items together, connecting keyrings, making decorations.
- Packaging customer orders
- Ensuring the workshop is kept tidy and organised

Your main role will be helping to personalise, gift wrap, pack and dispatch orders. You should be motivated and take initiative in a fast paced environment, with the ability to work well under pressure to strict deadlines. Whilst experience in a similarrole is not essential, it would be desirable.

The job role itself can be intense as we are currently very busy and you will have to stand for long periods of time as well as lift boxes and other items. You will be working in a very social atmosphere within a small team.

The ideal staff members will be hard working and easy to get on with as you will be working in an extremely busy environment.

The Role & Job Description:

- Flexible hours helping us pick, pack and gift wrap orders.
- Between 7.5 - 30 hours per week
- Maintaining and meeting our standards of lovingly packing every single order to send to our customers.

- Opportunities to assist in E-commerce management across our various sales channels, knowledge not required in these areas.

Skills you need to bring:

- You may stand and walk for a long time, this could be more than 8 hours per shift
- You may need to lift and move products that weigh up to 20kg.
- You may need to be able to lift, bend, twist, kneel and crouch.

About you:
You’ll be fantastic at working within a team and have a keen and creative eye for detail. An energetic and dynamic individual with a real passion for gifting and creating a bespoke and personalised experience. Interested in commerce, branding and forwardthinking creative solutions. Previous packing or gift wrapping experience would be preferred. You will stay calm and level headed under pressure, able to manage your time to the highest degree and be able to juggle multiple projects at once. Whilst extensiveexperience is not essential it would be great to demonstrate examples of working as part of a team within a high intensity environment.

We are based in the New Forest, public transport is limited so the use of your own vehicle is required.
