**Design Strategy**
The key to successful product development is fully understanding the vision for the product and keeping that vision alive and current throughout.
The role includes all aspects of the transformation journey from initial consultative engagement with prospective clients through to the delivery of excellent projects that provide real commercial impact to their businesses through great design, engineering and usability.

**Role description**
Day-to-day you will be working with a wide range of Cambridge Consultants colleagues including commercial leads, designers, strategists, technologists and engineering delivery teams. But the most important relationships will be with our clients. Using your experience in product design & design thinking and working with colleagues you will helping our clients to realise their vision and ambitions through a market led and user centric approach to product development.
The role includes diverse responsibilities ranging from providing thought leadership to clients and helping them analyse their business processes to running innovation workshops to identify where they can make maximum commercial impact.
Depending on experience, tasks undertaken could include participation at conferences, responding to new client briefs, presenting proposals, working with stakeholder groups and running innovation workshops, development of client roadmaps and delivering awesome development projects with our design & engineering teams. This is all aimed at ensuring we remain at the top of our game.

**Requirements**:
We’d like to hear from you if you have a combination of the following:

- Track record in the implementation of product developments where design thinking has been a key driver
- Ability to provide leadership and strategy at the senior levels of client organisations
- Experience working in a design led, technology-based environment. An ability to work well with technologists including, mechanical, software & electronics engineers as well as industrial designers, human factors engineers and analysts.
You will likely be an industrial designer with a product development background and a passion for all aspects of design and design thinking. You will have led successful programmes with design language and brand taking a leading role. You will love working with clients to extract their needs and convert them into actionable insights and develop strategies for future development programmes. You will love working on the commercial aspects of design strategy.
It’s likely that you have a product design and strategy services experience - probably working for a design consultancy - ideally internationally.
