**About the role**:
As our **Project Standards & Research Officer**, you’ll be responsible for the day-to-day coordination of projects and programme boards ensuring standards are applied, as required and supporting activities within the Portfolio and Programmestructure

**What you’ll do as our Project Standards & Research Officer**:

- Supporting in the design and production of a variety of specialist project documents
- Liaising with Project Teams when necessary to determine their requirements with regards to the above, to obtain updated status reports and to provide regular summary reports
- Being responsible for project tracking, by maintaining a database and ensuring that information is accurate
- Carrying out research and data analysis for projects, including gathering and manipulating data, researching, and producing reports as required
- Providing information for the department business plan as required, maintaining Programme and Project Management Governance
- Assisting Project Managers in maintaining core project documents
- Maintaining the department intranet pages, and when necessary, programme and project intranet pages
- Providing information and guidance to Programme/Project Managers and Project Team Members in relation to Programme & Project Management Governance processes
- Facilitating and attending meetings as directed, producing agendas and recording minutes in support of Development Team activities
- Accurately inputting data into the computerised project management systems
- Maintaining and monitoring the team's digitised filing system
- Raising orders and processing invoices for payment as required

**What we’re looking for in our Project Standards & Research Officer**:

- Willingness to acquire/maintain all qualifications and certificates as required by the Service
- Qualified to Prince 2 Foundation level or equivalent - desirable but not essential
- Qualified in Management of Portfolio Foundation Level - desirable but not essential
- Experience of working within a Project management environment
- Working knowledge of Microsoft “Project” or similar IT based project management software
- Research and data analysis experience, including gathering and manipulating data, researching, and producing reports
- Experience of facilitating meetings, producing agendas and recording minutes for project and programme boards
- A high level of organisational skills and the ability to deal with competing priorities
- Commitment to continuous improvement for self and the wider team.
