**The Opportunity**

We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Consultant to join our established and growing Offshore Wind consultant design team. You will lead the delivery of projects for our clients, with a focus on work at early, advisory stages of projects where a deep understanding of our client’s objectives is critical to your success.

**The role**

The role of the Structural Offshore Wind Energy Consultant is to drive, challenge and successfully deliver energy projects using best practice engineering knowledge and advisory skills. Your typical activities will include business development, being the project manager on offshore wind projects for our clients, being the day-to-day Arup contact for our client, and ensuring your team delivers projects to a high standard of quality and client satisfaction. You will identify and mitigate reputational and commercial risks to Arup and be part of the development of relationships and new services for our clients.

This position offers scope for personal development and we encourage independent thinking, focusing on developing existing skills and experience, and the sharing of these experiences with other team members.

Technical Skills and Experience

You will be able to demonstrate your understanding, skill, and experience in the following areas:

- Significant offshore wind sector work experience, with a preference for a background in structural engineering.
- Building client relationships and bidding for new work and delivering projects to budget and programme.
- Contributing to networks and teams outside your reporting and collaboration lines.
- Ability to delegate, build teams and lead project teams of 5 or more and being responsible for achieving plans and targets you have set for your team.
- Knowledge of construction Health and Safety best practice.
- A focus on the integration of digital tools into project delivery.

Technical Skills and Qualifications
- Chartered professional.
