As we continue to grow, we’re looking for skilled professionals to join our team and contribute to our commitment to quality craftsmanship and innovation. **Role Description** This is a full-time, on-site role for a CNC Machinist based in Shrewsbury, working Monday to Friday. You will be responsible for operating our CNC machine to cut and shape materials for van racking and ply lining. Day-to-day tasks include programming, setting up, and operating the CNC machine, ensuring precise and accurate cuts, monitoring machine performance, and maintaining quality control standards. The role requires experience with CNC routing, reading technical drawings, and working with various materials to produce high-quality components. Attention to detail and a commitment to precision manufacturing are essential. **Key Responsibilities** - Set up and operate the CNC machine to perform machining operations such as drilling and turning - Monitor the machine operations to ensure proper functioning and adjust as necessary - Read and interpret blueprints, 2D drawings and job orders to determine dimensions and tolerances - Maintain and troubleshoot the CNC machine as required - Conduct inspections on finished products to ensure precision and quality - Collaborate with team members to optimise the production process and improve efficiency - Loading and unloading of materials - Adhering to safety guidelines - Oversee general housekeeping within the workshop **Skills** - Proficient in CNC machining techniques and processes - Experience with tool selection, set-up and maintenance - Familiarity with software for programming CNC machines - Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail - Ability to work effectively in a team and independently If you are a skilled CNC Machinist, have a keen eye for detail and a passion for precision manufacturing, we’d love to hear from you." **Job Type** - Full-time (40 hours per week) - Pay: £13 per hour, rising to £15 upon successful completion of your probation **Benefits** - Company pension - Paid overtime - Free on-site parking - Employee Assistance Programme (EAP) - 28 days annual leave **Schedule** - Day shift - Monday - Friday **Experience** - CNC Machinist: 1 year (preferred) **Work Location** - In person at our Shrewsbury workshop **Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent Pay: £13.00-£15.00 per hour Expected hours: 40 per week **Benefits**: - Company pension - Free parking - Health & wellbeing programme - On-site parking Schedule: - Day shift - Monday to Friday - Overtime - Weekend availability **Experience**: - CNC: 1 year (required) Licence/Certification: - Driving Licence (required) Work authorisation: - United Kingdom (required) Work Location: In person
