**Manufacturing Systems Engineer**
THE ROLE:
Following the promotion of the previous employee into a Lead systems role, the company is now looking for a new member of the team to work with them to take over the role.
Having recently completed the construction of their new giga-plant in Sunderland, they are taking the opportunity to implement an all-new off-the-shelf Manufacturing System (Dassault's Aspiro Delmia) instead of their traditionally used in-house one.
Working within the Planning, Change and Projects (PCP) team, you will play a role in managing the plant's IT infrastructure and IS systems, with a focus on supporting all manufacturing-related systems
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Providing third-level system support to the Operations half of the team
- Problem management including root-cause analysis and the implementation of countermeasures
- Management, development, and implementation of all locally delivered changes to manufacturing systems
- Implementation of all globally developed changes to manufacturing systems
- System commissioning of new production equipment, facilities, and lines with existing and new plants
- Supervision, development and mentoring of other team members
- Reporting to both IS and Business management
ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS
- Comprehensive SQL skill including use of DML (data manipulation language)
- In-depth experience of supporting Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) in a manufacturing environment
- Familiarity with at least one major programming language (e.g. C#, VB.NET, Java)
- Experience of comprehensive change management protecting business systems and services
- Educated to degree level
NICE TO HAVE'S
- Experience of Dassault's Aspiro Delmia MOM (Manufacturing Operations Management) platform
- Experience of Microsoft SharePoint 365 and Microsoft Power Automate
- Experience of supervising, developing and mentoring staff
- Technical certifications, especially in the Microsoft space (e.g..NET, Azure, 365, Power, SQL Server, Visual Studio)
- Flexibility to travel occasionally
