Childcare Lawyer

Service Care Legal are recruiting for a Childcare Lawyer to join a busy Children's Social Care Legal Team. The primary focus of the post is to run a varied caseload of care and placement proceedings, more details below:

- ROLE: Childcare Lawyer
LOCATION: Newcastle upon Tyne
CONTRACT: 3 Months On going (Hybrid)
RATE: £40-£55ph (depending on experience)

The Role
- Handle you own case load from start to completion.
- Provide effective legal advice in respect of fostering, adoption and other general children's social care matters.
- Confident in running a varied caseload of care and placement proceedings.
- You will be expected to undertake a level of advocacy commensurate with your experience
- Hybrid working will be possible as you will need to attend court hearings.

The Person
- A Qualified solicitor, someone with a minimum of 2 years of PQE in Children's Law
- Experience of working in a local authority would be advantageous, however Lawyers from Private Practice will also be considered.
- Confident in communicating and working well within a team

We also welcome referrals for this position, where a successful recommendation would be worth £250.
