**Overview**
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Senior Care Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will play a vital part in providing high-quality care to residents in a care home setting.

You will be responsible for supporting the daily living activities of seniors, ensuring their comfort and well-being while fostering a positive environment. Your leadership skills and ability to communicate effectively will be essential in supervising junior staff and collaborating with healthcare professionals to implement care plans.

**Responsibilities**
- Assist residents with personal care tasks, including bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Support residents in daily activities such as meal preparation, medication management, and mobility assistance.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with residents to promote their emotional well-being.
- Supervise and mentor junior staff members, providing guidance and support as needed.
- Communicate effectively with residents, families, and healthcare professionals regarding care plans and any changes in resident conditions.
- Maintain accurate records of resident care and report any concerns to the management team.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations within the care home environment.
- Participate in training sessions to enhance your skills and knowledge in senior care.

**Requirements**:

- Previous experience in senior care or a similar role is preferred.
- NVQ Level 3 (Desirable but not essential)
- Medication Training (Essential)
- Strong communication skills to interact effectively with residents, families, and colleagues.
- Leadership capabilities to supervise staff and manage day-to-day operations within the care home.
- Familiarity with IT systems for maintaining records and documentation related to resident care plans.
- A compassionate approach towards elderly individuals, demonstrating patience and understanding.
- Ability to drive may be advantageous for transporting residents when necessary.
- Commitment to ongoing professional development in the field of senior care.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent

Pay: £12.50-£16.00 per hour

Expected hours: 12 - 72 per week
