We are looking for a motivated Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer to join a market leading food manufacturer. Reporting directly to the Engineering Manager you will be a key member in ensuring the production facility is kept running. You will be involvedin all aspects of planned and reactive maintenance within their operation. With progressive training and development this company is always looking to enhance its employees and their skill sets, whilst additionally being supported by a welcoming team of engineers.The position will appeal to a strong engineer looking for their next challenging role within in a secure and stable company.
The Role
- Multi-skilled activities on machinery and equipment between electrical, mechanical and refurbishment work including breakdown, planned preventative maintenance and fault diagnosis
- Providing effective and efficient support to the manufacturing functions and assist in achieving maximum production efficiency levels with minimum machine downtime
- Undertaking fault finding analysis, identifying root cause of plant or equipment breakdowns, and resolving the problem as swiftly as possible
- Keeping up-to-date and complying with food hygiene, health and safety standards and quality management systems
- Advising the management on continuous improvement measures to add value to the business
Skills and Qualifications
- City & Guilds 3-year engineering apprenticeship
- 17th / 18th Edition
- Electrical bias: single and three phase systems, motors, inverters, safety circuits and electrical schematics
- Packing, blending, mixing and process machinery
- PLC knowledge and knowledge n steam boiler operation would be advantageous
- Experience in the food industry would be advantageous but no essential
