We are looking for an experienced cafe assistant to join our team here at Melin Tregwynt, an opportunity to become part of some thing special. **Main duties and responsibilities**:
Working within the Mill cafe to meet customers’ needs and create a positive experience for customers visiting Melin Tregwynt
- General day to day operation of café
- Provide excellent customer service & create a warm & friendly atmosphere for customers
- Maintaining & restocking items as required, checking expiry dates on food items
- Pricing
- Prepare and serve hot drinks using espresso machine
- Maintain & monitor daily records
- Cash handling, including credit cards / till operations, daily reconciliation
- Effective handling of telephone enquiries for café
- Deal with bookings and booking system
- Promoting all aspects of Melin Tregwynt business
- Daily cleaning of cafe & public areas
- Regular scheduled cleaning of all catering equipment including coffee machine, all fridges, freezers & cooking equipment
- Maintain highest standards of cleanliness & hygiene & follow food hygiene regulations in Cafe
- Opening and closing premises to ensure maximum security procedures at all times. (you may also be required to act as key holder for certain shifts)
- Assist in other areas of the business as required
- Any other reasonable request made.
- Weekend working essential
