South East Hampshire CAMHS Early Help Service are looking for a children and adolescent Mental Health Nurse, Social Worker or Occupational Therapist to join our team as a band 7 Senior Primary Mental Health Worker. You will need to be registered with your governing body, and have CAMHS or relevant Mental Health experience. There has never been a better time to join Hampshire CAMHS. We are excited to be a service that has achieved new significant investment from our commissioners, in recognition of the increasing need there is for support with children's mental health. Hampshire CAMHS is known for its innovation and creativity as well as significant involvement from young people, parents and carers with its on-going development. You will be joining and helping lead a friendly, supportive and creative multi-disciplinary team, dedicated to providing a high-quality service to our young people. Your base will be Fareham with a blended approach with remote working on occasion. We are excited to be a developing service, introducing a new model of stepped care within the service. You will support the delivery of psycho-education workshops and therapeutic group work. Some opportunity may exist to hold a small case load. You will work in our Single Point of Access, helping support the "front door" into CAMHS, referral, consultation and advice. - To provide supervision and leadership to other members of the Primary Mental Health workforce. - To be part of the Primary Mental Health Work leadership team and participate in the development of the service - To provide a community based primary mental health service for children and young people as part of the primary tier of CAMHS. - To work in the Single Point of Access. - To offer consultation and advice to primary care workers on all aspects of mental health and well being of children and their families. - To direct children and their families to the most appropriate service in order to meet their emotional needs. - With a blend of beautiful rural New Forest settings and bustling city locations, Hampshire is known to be a very desirable place to live - The ancient Cathedral City of Winchester and the seaside cities of Portsmouth and Southampton provide attractions and amenities to suit everyone’s taste - With easy access to Gatwick, Heathrow and excellent railway links, there is plenty of opportunity for adventure We’d love you to join our organisation that is rated ‘good’ overall and ‘outstanding’ for caring by the Care Quality Commission. Experience of working with children and young people with mental health challenges is essential. You will be bringing a background of skills and expertise, to support the leadership of the Primary Mental Health Workforce. Our service has an excellent track record, and a commitment to robust evidence based supervision and ongoing training. This is a service that is also focused on staff support and well-being. Training and development opportunities are available, including a New To Hampshire CAMHS induction programme, in house training and a commitment to ongoing CPD. To provide a community based primary mental health service for children and young people as part of the primary tier of CAMHS. To offer consultation and advice to primary care workers on all aspects of mental health and well being of children and their families. To direct children and their families to the most appropriate service in order to meet their emotional needs. To offer assessments individually and jointly with primary care colleagues. To offer a variety of evidence based therapeutic group interventions at tier 1 and 2 to children, young people and their families and to hold a small case load. To work in the Single Point of Access (SPA) in the service on a rotational basis.
