Facilities Maintenance Operative

**Key Responsibilities**
- To carry out planned preventative maintenance as directed by the facilities management team.
- To carry out works generated by the FM help desk.
- To identify and report immediately any statutory or critical plant failures that will give rise to health and safety risk to the building occupants.
- To assist with M&E works and subcontractor labour wherever required.
- To ensure that a **high** level of workmanship is maintained at all times.
- To carry out building inspections and report damages or faults to Facilities Management Team.
- Maintain a safe working environment at all times.
- To carry out ad-hoc duties as directed by Facilities Management Team.
- Office moves / set-up and small data cabling installations as required.
**Minimum skills/Qualifications required**:
- Previous experience as a maintenance operative working in prestigious buildings is **essential**.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Should have proven background with particular knowledge and experience of dealing with general maintenance issues.
- Awareness of Health & Safety policies.
- Practical experience.
- Basic plumbing experience.
**Personal Qualities**:
- Understanding/Experience of legionella requirements.
- Flushing & Temperature checks.
- Familiarisation of building mechanical plant (AHU’s)
- IT Literate
- Committed, hard working and reliable.
- General willingness to be helpful, enthusiastic and flexible.
- Able to work as an individual and as part of a team.
- Willingness to enhance skills by attending training courses as required.
- **Full UK Driving License is required.**
**Vehicle use and Maintenance**:
- To carry out routine checks.
- Ensure vehicle is well maintained well and presentable.
**Working hours**:
- Monday - Thursday 08:00 - 16:30
- Fridays: 08:00 - 16:00
**Weekend On Call Element Required**:
Hourly Rate: £15.00
**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

- Driving License (required)
**Salary**: £13.00-£15.00 per hour
Schedule:
- 8 hour shift
- Monday to Friday

- Bellshill, ML4 3NJ: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
