**About the role**

We are looking for a dependable and efficient self-starter to supervise and lead a small team of Site Operatives to meet and exceed production targets whilst ensuring that processes and procedures are followed. You’ll be responsible for supervising the workflow and safety of the team by supporting staff, monitoring results and reporting to senior management.

We’re looking for someone with strong leadership and some maintenance experience to help drive production, encouraging independent thinking and initiative to push the positive attitude we strive for on site.

**What you’ll do**
- Ensure planned workloads and allocated tasks are complete
- Monitor progress against set targets
- Briefing the team on new initiatives, changes and updates
- Maintaining safety standards are met and procedures followed
- Ensure that quality standards are upheld
- Ensure housekeeping of the yard is kept in good order
- Communicate any unplanned equipment downtime
- Report any gaps in training
- Complete documentation for their shift
- Supervise day to day yard activities

- 12 hour shifts, 7 to 7
- 4 on-4 off, rotating days and nights
- Reporting to Ops Manager
- 20 days holiday
- £13.00 p/hr

**Essential requirements**
- Recycling or manufacturing experience
- Health & safety experience
- People management experience
- Basic maintenance experience
- Ability to work outside
- Good level of fitness
- Positive can-do attitude
- Excellent communication skills
- Excellent organisational skills

**Desirable requirements**
- FLT or Telehandler experience
- IOSH or other H&S qualification
- First aid qualification
- Fire marshal qualification

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: £13.00 per hour

- 12 hour shift
- Day shift
- Night shift
