**About the Opportunity**

Our Stockton-on-Tees bridges and structural solutions team takes pride in taking on technically complex and major schemes across the country and internationally. The team also specialises in structural maintenance of existing assets with several long-term Frameworks for UK Local Authority clients as well as regional National Highways contracts. With a large and diverse team it is ideally placed to give opportunities in every aspect of bridge engineering. You will utilise your highly developed technical engineering, interpersonal and organisational skills in supporting the technical delivery of highway and rail structures solutions.

You’ll join a team that has an enviable reputation in the UK Transportation consultancy sector as a result of a portfolio of high-profile projects with clients that include High Speed 2, National Highways, Network Rail, National Contractors and Local Authorities.

You will be responsible for project delivery and undertake the role of technical lead on a range of bridge and transportation related projects:

- Use your knowledge and experience to deliver all stages of project work including leading and mentoring bridge staff on tasks such as structural analysis, feasibility studies, tender designs, detailed designs and the production of contract documents and technical reports.
- Use your knowledge and skills in working together with the team and other disciplines in providing an integrated service to clients
- Help seek innovative solutions in achieving best value in delivering our services
- Help development of the team through the delivery of projects and commissions, providing technical and administrative support and leadership where required

**Here’s What You’ll Need**:

- A degree in Civil or Structural Engineering;
- Chartered or Incorporated status with ICE, IStructE or a similar organisation
- Significant experience in the UK bridges/Transportation sector;
- Strong understanding of structural behaviour and detailed knowledge of current codes and standards, including Eurocodes, DMRB, SHW, and Network rail standards;
- Experience of design analysis and assessment of structures using Structural analysis software such Midas, SuperStress or LUSAS;
- Proven track record of delivery of bridge and highway related projects and an ability to work effectively within a multi-disciplinary team;
