**Background of this role**
As a Graduate Environmental consultant, with 1 or more years of experience, you should already be familiar with some of the regulatory & policy environment in which our client operates. We are looking for someone who wants to develop in this graduate role they currently fill, and has experience in some of our key service areas but also the interest and drive to learn new skills and work in areas they’ve not yet had the chance to.
Good time management, presentation skills and a flexible attitude are also essential to working within our busy and dynamic team. Chartership of any form is not required at this stage, but a desire to obtain chartership would be highly beneficial as well as having a relevant Masters degree, but this is not required.
**Main Purpose of job**
Deliver advice to clients using scientific solutions for their environmental problems whilst following the company’s mission, vision & values. In undertaking such work, you will not be afraid to challenge yourself and most importantly the regulators and regulations being applied where necessary as part of the team. The role of an Graduate Consultant is to act as supporting role to Senior members of our team, and you must be willing to handle the on site, data handling & data reporting side of the projects we run so that our Senior team members can work with you ensure projects run to budget, to time and so we can as a team lead our client to implementing the best environmental solution to their problem.
**Main Responsibilities and Duties**
- Conduct site investigations and surveys both independently and alongside the wider team
- Produce technical reports to our internal quality assurance system criteria which will then be quality assessed by our seniors.
- Support senior team members in the planning and execution of our Environmental Consultancy projects to the defined scope, cost and programme to meet our Client’s requirements.
- Managing basic aspects of projects with mínimal input from senior staff both technically and from a Project Management perspective and as you develop in role manage simple projects as a whole with mínimal input.
- Preparation of scopes of work and costs for input to fee proposals for small & Medium projects.
- Review new guidance in certain sectors and disseminate this information to the wider team you work in
Pay: £27,500.00-£30,000.00 per year
