This is an exciting opportunity to join a growing, independently owned, Wedding & Events Venue: The Venue Bowers Mill.

A former Woollen Textile Mill; The Venue Bowers Mill hosts more than 100 weddings per year, alongside other large scale and high-profile events such as charity functions, conferences and Christmas parties.

The role is very varied and includes a wide variety of tasks including being the face of the Venue during events and weddings, meeting couples to plan their special day and managing the team during events. We are a small team so working to deadlines and having an exceptional level of attention to detail is crucial for this role. During the event itself you will need to be proactive and good at problem solving as well as managing the team that are assisting you with each function.

The Venue is a fantastic place to work, and it is always great fun however, it is important that a practical approach is crucial for this role, as the team both plan and host weddings and events.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Once a booking is confirmed you will take ownership for the planning, communication, and delivery of the event.
- Prepare, set up and breakdown weddings and events.
- To ensure events & weddings run smoothly on time and to an exceptionally high standard
- To be a great communicator, and to be the point of contact for brides and grooms once the booking is passed over from the event manager. This includes building function sheets, ordering the catering and ensuring staffing levels.
- Be creative and flexible when discussing options with potential customers.
- Maximise all sales opportunities,
- Scheduling of the team to ensure all functions are prepared and delivered on time.
- Deal with any issues that arise promptly and professionally and without panic.
- Ensure excellent customer service throughout the event planning and delivery process.
