We are currently seeking a skilled and motivated **Tig Welder & Fabricator** to join our team.

**Summary**

An excellent opportunity has arisen for a skilled and experienced **TIG Welder & Fabricator** to join our dedicated Vent Manufacturing team here at Nolato PPT in Maldon, Essex. As a key player in the defence and technology sectors, we specialise in producing high-quality, custom EMC protection products, and we need a skilled technician to help us maintain our exceptional standards.

**The Role**

You will be primarily responsible for the high-quality TIG welding of lightweight aluminium extrusions, which form a crucial part of our EMC vents and dust filters. This role requires precision, attention to detail, and the ability to work from technical drawings to produce components that meet our customers' exacting specifications.

Your duties will also involve general fabrication and finishing tasks to ensure our products are manufactured to the highest standard.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Perform high-quality TIG welding on lightweight aluminium extrusions.
- Fettle aluminium components through grinding, sanding, and mopping to achieve a superior finish.
- Confidently and safely operate workshop machinery, including circular chop saws, band saws, and pillar drills.
- Utilise a range of handheld power tools effectively.
- Read and accurately interpret 1st and 3rd angle technical drawings to a high standard.
- Adhere to all health and safety regulations, maintaining a safe and efficient work environment.

**Your Skills and Experience**
- **Essential**: Proven experience as a **TIG welder** working with lightweight aluminium.
- **Essential**: The ability to read and interpret **1st and 3rd angle technical drawings** to a high standard is a must.
- **Preferred**: Experience using a **TIG foot pedal** is highly desirable due to our requirement for short, precise weld runs.
- **Advantageous**: Experience with MIG welding would be a benefit but is not essential.
- You must be proficient in fettling techniques and the use of associated workshop machinery and power tools.
- You'll have a keen eye for detail and a commitment to quality in everything you do.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: From £14.00 per hour

Expected hours: 38 per week
