**Tree Inspector**

**About the role**:
As a Tree Inspector, you'll play a vital role in keeping Wirral's trees safe, healthy, and thriving. From conducting regular safety inspections to contributing to planting initiatives and strategy development, this is a varied role where you can make a real impact.

You will work closely with our Tree Risk Management Team to:

- Conduct cyclical inspections of trees for safety and stability.
- Record tree attributes and recommend maintenance works.
- Support the development of tree management policies and strategies.
- Communicate with residents and interest groups regarding tree maintenance.
- Monitor tree works quality and ensure compliance with standards.
- Contribute to afforestation targets and improvement projects.

We would like to hear from you if you have the following:

- NVQ Level 4 in Arboriculture
- Full, clean driving licence
- Strong knowledge of BS 3998 and tree-related legislation
- Experience using tree inventory and GIS systems
- Excellent communication and time management skills

Desirable:

- Knowledge of bat/protected species legislation
- Experience in local government
